Safeguarding
At Rama’s Daycare, safeguarding is at the core of our mission to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every child. We are fully dedicated to meeting the legal safeguarding requirements as outlined in UK law and the statutory framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Our Safeguarding Principles

Policies and Procedures
Our comprehensive safeguarding policies are regularly reviewed and updated to remain compliant with UK regulations and EYFS guidance. These include:
- Safer Recruitment: All staff undergo thorough checks, including enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance, to ensure their suitability for working with children.
- Trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Our DSL oversees safeguarding practices, ensuring staff are supported and that any concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
- Staff Training: All team members receive continuous training to recognize, report, and respond to safeguarding concerns effectively.
Creating a Safe Environment
We take proactive steps to create a secure and enriching environment where children can thrive. This includes:
- Risk Assessments: Regularly evaluating and mitigating risks in all areas of our premises and activities.
- Safe Technology Practices: Implementing strict policies to protect children from online risks and inappropriate content.
- Open Communication: Encouraging children to express their feelings and teaching them age-appropriate ways to stay safe.
Partnership and Collaboration
Safeguarding is a shared effort. We work closely with parents, local safeguarding agencies, and professionals to protect children and provide the support they need. If any concerns arise, we act promptly, following established protocols to ensure children’s safety.
Confidentiality and Record Keeping
We maintain detailed, secure, and confidential records of safeguarding concerns and only share information with appropriate parties as required by law.
